hello everyone.my name is Kevin and im new here and trying to get my pins
out on the web. for now im starting off small in quantities hoping things will take off for me. ive sold a few hundred so far some in bulk. i only make orders every 2 weeks right now until things get moving along. i usually keep at least 10 of every design i make for sale. my pins arent as detailed as some of the bigger companies (not that i cant make them) but for now that is why im able to sell so cheap. right now im working on colors in them and as soon as i perfect them they will be available. ive sold over 300 pins without one return or dislike.ive also sell on ebay. all my pins are 100% guaranteed return

I have been wondering this for a while now but have never tried and since you make them I thought you might know. Can mosaic pins be peened like a regular pin for holding bolsters, etc? I may also be interested in a couple of weeks in getting 1 or 2, but I will email you when I am ready and let you know.

there pretty much for looks.i think if you put a punch to the end it will probably mess up the face. unless someone has a system for this maybe they will speak up.unfortantly i dont. so i guess the answer or (my answer) is no they cannot be peened.

First you are making some very nice pins and will be the source of my next pins. I can't get hardly get the materials for that amount.

Next I would not try to peen this type of pin. It may actually work in some instances, but, would probably wreck the pin and or pattern though. These are glued in place with a good glue as are the scales. Pins of this sort keep the scales from shifting sideways and reinforce the glue job. I believe a nice set of mosaic pins does a lot to set of a good looking custom knife.

thanks!!:)i agree even though ive never tried it i think it would mess it up.
also i will do more detailed pins with stainless soon. im just trying to work it out where the price stays the same no matter how detailed. i can only order stock like every 2 weeks because the price of brass,copper,ect i have to make at least a 1000 dollar order to get some good discounts and i m working out of my pocket right now so it will take a lil time. but i plan on keeping prices the same.

Hi,I have never used these and would like to know just how they are fitted ,do they come with a through pin and do you have to countersink or counter bore the hole to take the cap.

I may be totally off but I think this is the answer to your question; mosaic pins are just like regular pins are far as the fitting goes; it is not a cap on the end of something. They are basically just smaller pins,etc. glued together in different arrangements in a hollow pin. You work with them the same as you would a solid metal pin, except as discussed earlier probably not good for peening over.
