I was wondering if anyone has done business with MRKNUCKLES.com? They sell custom brass knuckles. If anyone has any info on delivery time, quality, and the overall experiance of dealing with them.

Yes,
I've done business with him a couple of times. However, because of the "legal" issues involved with carrying something like this, I decided to stick to locking carabiners, Stingers, and such...
I think the best model is the Bottle Opener- it's a two-finger model. I wouldn't recommend getting it in the 1/2" thick- it's a beast and too heavy for carrying (I had mine cut into two 1/4" thick pieces and gave one half to the guy who did it). The 1/4" ones are plenty strong...I also bought one of the aluminum ones in 1/4"; I am very impressed with it, lightweight, strong, and you can ask him to put a little hole in the base (the part that fits your palm) so you can rig up a nice little lanyard/monkey knot for easy access.
Finally, I had a couple of the plastic models made...good thing I saw this, I forgot that I want to get the Bottle Opener model in a nice 1/2" piece. I'll have to get around to ordering one! They're a dense, strong white plastic from what I remember- I gave the one I had away, but kept the metal ones. The reason I recommend the two-finger jobs are that you really can't mess up how it will "feel"; the four-finger ones are too much of a 'spread' for me.
Excellent fun stuff, even if you're just a collector; very good service, quick delivery as well.

That was just what I was looking for. I'm gonna get 2 of the all stars in half inch brass with a mirror polish. The weight doesn't matter to me as I won't be carrying them, more of a wall hanger for me. The spread on the all star doesn't look to bad plus I got big hands. I just never ordered anything from him yet and was curios thanks for the heads up

Thanks for the links I like the keep safe. I think I might get one of the stingers for my girl friend. The saps on the same page look pretty good too.

Most of these saps are illegal. One substitute is to put a roll of nickels or quarters in a work glove and swing away. Seperate, these are two totally innoculous objects... when needed, they hurt like hell. And, after use, they are seperated again and no one is the wiser.

That reminds me of the soap in a sock trick. I would not carry the sap, just add it to my collection. When it's time to fight I use my fists.

I've given Stingers to all my friends. They are lightweight, colorful, and startlingly effective.

I put the order in for 2 sets of custom knuckles both the allstar modle. I like the classic look. I also got the mirror polish. They are the full half inch thick. They will probably be pretty heavy. I will most probably never use them but the thought of the damage that they could do is insane. As far as mrknuckles service he has returned my emails very quickly even when they are sent late at night. He has also answered all my questions. From what I have seen so far from this site I would recomend it to anyone.

Informative thread....thanks guys!

Mr. Knuckles also does great custom work if you ask him. He charges a 1 time fee for the original piece, (which in my case was under $100) and then after that it was around $45.
