MT Balisongs Have Arrived Flippin Good!

The brown truck just dropped off my two MT Balis #112, #113 from WOW Inc. These are great. Mike at WOW went beyond expectations to deliver these to me by today. He had originally sent them Monday by ground, and that means they would not show up until Monday the 26th. Bummer. I asked Mike if there was any way he could retrieve them, and modify the delivery, and he worked his magic and they are here today! I have been in the business world for 20 years and this is an excellent example of delighting the customer. Keep up the great work Mike. These will make for a flippin good holiday season.

I related a problem to Mike about the delivery of my MT and, as Edgefinder relates, he was more than accommodating!!! I'm waiting for the truck to show up anytime myself!
Mike has really taken customer service to new heights! :D
Edited to add:My knife(#0107)showed up at 10:30 am and I could not be happier!!!:D:D:D!!! I'm sure Edgefinder, and anyone else that has one of these bad boys, with attest these thigs are absolutely flawess in their manufacture, execution, etc.... I really love the size and the quaility. As with any MT product, this knife is first rate! They're not inexpensive by any means, and are due to go up soon, but you will get what you paid for!
I've got to give Mike Thurber credit, again, for 110% effort in this thing and some most excellent customer service! :cool:
 
I'm waiting patiently. I had a dream last night that it arrived :)
This is the most excited I've ever been about a knife.

Danged easterners. Just because the sun happens to rise in the east this morning, you think you should get your Tachyons before me! It's not fair! It's not fair! It's not Fair! There ought to be a law! I'm calling my congressman right now!
 
Too bad one of the finest Production Balisongs does not have a 3.95 or 4.0 inch blade, have to pass, can't flip small Balisongs and was hoping they would change it.
 
Sorry Don but keep your eyes open because I may be able to do that in the not to distant future. I had to get this one out the door first.

Glad you guys are getting them today!

Also if you look at the return address you will see I had to drive over to 1SKS to even ship them as my UPS system was FUBAR!

It really looks like an excellent knife, it's just that the smaller Balisongs just get lost in my hand in a way. I have a BM10, for example, and sure, I can flip it...but it has never felt "right" because of the smaller size...and even though the handles on the MT-T should be a tad larger (So I've heard), it is still not that cool size I'm used to. Not trying to rag on it, I thought that the blade was going to be changed, there was a hint of that and I guess the "surprise" was the blood groove or something instead of an increase in blade size.
 
I still think I can increase the blade size without much re-engineering. But the problem you are having will remain the same until the handle length is changed.

I have a 35 myself and love it but like you it is too small. The Tachyon fits perfect for me with the latch removed. I only use the latch in the ice pick move anyway. Damn this thing is smoooooooooooth!

Maybe I live too far.
 
Hey Mike :) ... hope you had a great Thanksgiving. If you get a larger Tachyon into production.., what length blade are we talkin' here??? 4"???? Just curious..., and no need to respond if it's not off the drawing board.

I agree. As noted in one of my previous posts, simply by adjusting the handle slabs, but keeping the tang assembly and the latch assembly intact, Mike and MT can create various length "Tachyons". Provide they keep the blade width within what the handle will hold.

The Tachyon fits perfect for me with the latch removed. I only use the latch in the ice pick move anyway. Damn this thing is smoooooooooooth!

And because it's so smooth, let me join Don in pleading: Please Mike, after the Nemesis Tachyon is done, can we have a 4 incher? I'm not all that comfortable with the latch digging into my palm in the foil grip....:(

Correct only the stone wash has been shipped. We are waiting on the blades for the black two tones.

A 4inch or larger model is waaaaaaaaaaayyyyyy down the road.
