I'.ve had it hangin' 'round my neck for almost two years now and the threads on the head started to strip, Maria from Arc said send it in sans battery and they'll take care of it but in the mean time I'm goin' through serious withdrawal(?), didn't realize how often I used it.

Bummer. Arc AAA is a nice light. I've had one for about 8 years now. Only problem is that cusion donut looking thing dries out. Still works without it.

at least ya get yours back after repair, my girlfriend took mine lol.

they are good lites i outta get another, i was carrying my fenix P2D-CE more though so i dont miss it too much.

my girlfriend really likes the arc though, and my other fenix lite she appropriated.

Its funny you should say that, I bought my girlfriend one last year and it went pop the other day. Mine still works ok though.

I got one about a month ago to put on my keyring. It replaced a series of cheap button-cell LEDs. Although I also have a Fenix LOD, I can't imagine having any light other than the ARC on my keyring. The size and simplicity definitely won me over.

Wow, I thought those things were invulnerable. Trying to work up to buying one, but for right now I only have a gen 2 Inova X1

look at the fenix ones too, they are also pretty cool, if ya want something for your keyring they are the bomb though (the arc) i just usually carried mine in my watch pocket so the fenix P1D-CE worked fine for me,

just depends on what ya want.

Why you only gots one???

Rulez of 3 man, rulez of 3...

3 is 2, 2 is 1, 1 is none... ;)

Those little ARCs are the bomb to have stashed around.

Nah I have an original in green, plus a Fenix L1P and two or three of the other companies Arc like lights, a few Surefires, plus the two Inovas and a few Photons, a Glotoob and finally a custom that runs on a mini 12vdc batt and it has a giant 5mm or was it a 10 mm LED.

Still the Premium Arc aaa was the brightest I owned for it's size and my favorite most used light.:D:thumbup:

The new GS Arc AAA is almost TOO bright for what I use it for. Time for them to back down the drive current and give us an extended runtime version

Finally got it back today, Maria from Arc is great with communications she replied to every email sent by me.

So they replaced the light, (which made me sad as I had a lot of memories with my light, I know it sounds stupid) but it took a month, that didn't make me happy.

In their defense, Maria said they had sent it out 2 weeks earlier but it was returned 'cause they couldn't read my address to deliver.

In the end it was returned to me Priority mail so all's good.

Next time, keep a spare or two handy.

I've been following this thread because I'm an Arc AAA fan as well. Somehow I magically lost my Arc shortly after reading this thread the first time. I know I lost it in the house; so I'm waiting for it to show up before I break open the reserve light. Perhaps I should offer some cookies to the underpants Gnomes.

Next, you need to send it in for a Miller Mod. I have two with the new generation of Cree emitters, and they are truly phonominal! Bombproof Arc-AAA construction, with 2 stages: 110 lumens for 20 minutes at 1.5W (to a generous 75% brightness), and 4 lumens for 7 hours at 25mAmp. The best part is that you can specify the brightness of your high and low beam, or choose only one beam. Pricy, by my two have taken me down the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon, illuminating a lot of night-time cooking, eating and cleanup, and illuminated the Paris Catacombs. After using my Arc in stock form, I'm still blown away by the brightness of this thing with the Cree emitter and reshaped reflector. Hang a tritium glow tube on it for easy finding in the dark.
