You like the fat blades. Im the opposite.

Yeah I like blades that can slice rather than pry the food apart. If you have a narrow blade then they have to be real thin stock or you just end up with a thick wedge. Of course a thick type blade will also perform some other tasks better, it just depends on your own priorities which will be dependant on your environment etc !
This latest one is similar in shape to the old Butchers knives which were also carried by the old mountain men of old and used to perform all the tasks they required. Mine is most probably thicker stock at 3/16" but still slices well due to the gradual taper.

Really dig that trio! :thumbup::thumbup:
And I don't think these blades look weird, rather functional looks.
The hatchet (or whatever the name of the top blade) looks superb. I even remember your review on that blade, it really intrigued me, I wanted one of thee myself.

Cool trio, enjoy using the cr@p out of it! :D

Cheers buddy, I still can't recommend the Knatchet enough, if you are backpacking and wilderness camping where you need to make shelter and chop fire wood then there can't be any tools much better. And when the fire is lit and your food cooked the Knatchet will slice and dice as well as any small knife !!!

Hi pitdog -

Nice stuff!

I know that I will have to have a Knatchet in maple burl someday.

A great trio, thanks for the picture.

best regards -
