Hey all!

You've been doing a great job since we've opened. Give yourselves all a big pat on the back. We've drawn attention from all over the knife industry. Spyderco and Camillus have joined the family. We have close to 1100 members. BladeForums.com is going strong.

Here's my challenge to you: We currently have 8265 posts in the General Forum. There are than 10 days until the SHOT Show. Can you guys post enough high quality threads and discussions on knives to make us break 9000 posts in this forum before Feb 1? Can it be done?

I'll help by starting a few threads, but the rest is up to you. You've done great so far, now let's dig in and let rip!

Well, here's one to help get it started. I thnk we can do it. I've personally been doing more reading than posting here lately. I guess I'll have to quit being so lazy.

So, Spark, what did you do with that cheesy hawkbill(?) that you did a review on? Keep it in your desk? Give it away? Put it in a drawer somewhere?

Broke it in half using it, threw it out, and didn't have a second thought about it. It was a great knife if you needed something to rip apart stuff, because it was so cheap I didn't care that it would get damaged, unlike my more expensive knives.

Sure, it was a piece of crap, but hey, it saved my MT's from being used to pry out box staples, cutting heavy cardboard, etc.

You are only aiming for 9000? Give yourselves a challenge and try for 10,000. This place has grown exponentially since I started coming here. Its been nuts...

I'm new at this but I will try to put my worthless 2 cents in any time I can.

Ok guys, judging from my nightly numbers, we got 221 posts the first day, and 174 today, so you all are starting to slack off already!

Seriously though, only 343 to go now, less with this post, and still 7 days left.

Heck, maybe we should shoot for 10K, I'd like to see it!

Spark; how about some motivation for us posters? Perhaps a date with a member of the preferred gender for the 10,000th poster?

I will supply the wine. Walt (who lives close to the wine country in California).

Spark, I second Walt's idea for some "motivation". I don't know if a date is feasible but, how about a knife for the people who write the 9,500, 9,600, 9,700, 9,800, 9,900 and 10,000th posting? That will put some fire under our a$$e$! Heck, give everyone a knife
