Here are the specs: BG-42 steel, plain edge, blade length about 3.5 and not more than 4 inches, .125 inch thickness, big belly drop point with satin finish and Zytel/G10 slab handles.. completed with a concealeax sheath from On/Scene or Survival Sheaths. I would get it for sure if there's anything out there which meets the specs! Just one stout and simple little knife! Does anyone know anything like that? And what about the specs of your dream knife? :) Let's share!

A balisong with a 4 inch bowie blade, ambidextrous pocket clip, d2 or other high end blade steel, very tough titanium handles, spring latch, and a quickdraw kydex sheath.

A 3.65" blade of S30V. .125" Thick. Titanium framelock handle. Oh my God! That would be the Cuda Robo Dominator! A dream come true!

Folder

3.75" O1 or M2 with a light Boron Carbide coating. Blad has a recurve and aprofile similar to the 73X Benchmade model. Titanium linners and CF and Damascus bolsters.

Fixed blade

6" Nimravus in O1 blade thickness .225". and G-10 scales or maybe CF to be real cool and fancy.

The Spyderco Moran Drop point (FB02) comes close, 3 7/8” VG10 blade with lots of belly, FRN handle with rubber inlays, excellent factory Concealex sheath.

My dream knife is pretty simple...A stainless fully serrated Spyderco Police model with a 5.5 inch (slightly thicker) blade, and set-up with an ambidextrious pocket-clip.

I would like a slipjoint folder with one serrated sheepsfoot and one plain edge clip point blade. The blades would fit flush enough with the handle when closed that cutting with either blade would be comfortable. Both blades would be 2 7/8" long and have nice, strong backsprings. The handle would have dark green or dark blue G10 insets. The steel would be GIN-1.

For me, I imagine it to be what you might get if a Benchmade AFCK and an Emerson Commander...well...'did it'...

A huge, waved child with paternity issues?

Sorry, just had too! :p

I'll be here all week! lol!

Mine would consist of the following:

1. PE/2.5" Wharncliffe blade made of S30V or BG-42 with a small but accessible post for one-hand opening.

2. Scales made of Titanium or a high-end wood

3. A small clip for discreet but secure carry

One of these days I plan to get one of BFC's resident knife makers to craft such an instrument for me. Until then I'll just have to dream.

....... and Zytel/G10 slab handles...

Why the hell do you want a Zytel handled knife?

Without getting into a big debate here, there are much better choices in handle materials than Zytel, or whatever you want to call the latest thermoplastic.

They may be good for some situations, but for me, I'd choose either G-10, Ti, or a natural material of some type.

You chose a good blade steel, and a great sheath. Why cheapen the knife with plastic scales?

G10 would be good to me too. The reason why I chose Zytel is that to me my dream knife would be something rugged and care free... has to be a heavy user and at the same time I would appreciate its quality, not to mention the lower cost of Zytel. I don't know about others but to me I am kinda happy enough the quality of Zytel.. something I won't mind abusing for knowing that I can get myself a new pair of slabs economically.

And oh, just a split-second thought. I think that it would be so cool if I can have a number of slabs that were made of different materials... like a pair of G10, Zytel, Ebony, Cocobola, etc. etc.. so I can change the slabs from time to time... just like those different cell phone covers. :D

My dream knife would not be considered an EDC by many. It would be a damascus bladed fighting style Bowie with a 10-12" blade, stag or bark elephant ivory handle and blued steel buttcap, ferrule and halfpenny blade catcher guard. It would come with a brown leather sheath with silver throat and tip and a raised snake pattern in the leather.

That easy....just a bigger Benchmade AFCK with a 5.5" Blade. :D Oh yes, and the blade should not be coated in black.:barf:

On a side note: I don't mind Zytel. Hell if the latest thermoplastic is good enough for Glock and H&K guns then it should be fine for a knife handle.

Haha likewise. I think the reason why I dig Zytel so much is because it makes a knife feel like a Glock. :D

Easy, a small Scott Cook Lochsa with 2.75" blade, S30V blade, 6AL4V one piece titanium handle.
