I was at a small knife show in Lexington ky, and had the privilege to meet Mr. Barr. He talked to me for about an hour about various things, mainly about knifemaking and becoming a knifemaker. He had a knife like this one on his table, but in a grey/silver G-10/carbon fiber type handle material. I fell in love so hard with that knife, so I can imagine how you feel about yours. Great knife, and a great man.

A good looking knife. Those onyx bits may be covering pins, but I think they are more likely for decoration, and possibly to help with grip. I don't think that there would have have been three pins in the bolsters, but I could certainly be wrong.

yes they do cover the pins and are mostly for decorative purposes..this is a gentlemans knife all the way...

Pins? For sure? Looks like there's bolts holding that handle together.
Neat knife!

One thing I've just realized about your threads Ren, you take a great photo of the knives. I can never manage more than a basic shot w/o a lot of glare. Good on yah :D

Hello guys, thanks for the kind words. Keith is right, their only function is for decoration.
