Man, I wish somebody in northern MN. would do something like this! Sounds like a fantastic opportunity and great fun for all involved.

Hey Bruce, great pictures, thanks for posting them. It's always great to see how much fun you can have doing this stuff. This weekend I joined the Mississippi Forge Council and we all watched Terry Vandeventer give a demonstration on forging and building friction folders. Getting everyone together like that makes it so easy to learn. I had a blast and I bought my first anvil, a Peter Wright 85lb, looks to be perfect for bladesmithing. Look me up if you're ever in Jackson, I'd really like to meet ya!

I really think you should consider moving out of that snake infested area Bruce and coming on up to the pacific northwest to live. It wouldn't likely take more than six tractor trailers to haul all your stuff up here and then you could enjoy our custom air conditioning. Just think - no heavy sweating while the forge is going, fresh air, LOTS of guys looking over your shoulder all the timeand these guys don't even talk funny like the folks in your part of the country. (BIG grin)

But Bill,My web feet are finally going away since I moved from the pacific northwest

They may talk funny around here sometimes but I will tell you what, when you have a beatiful southern ladie for your wife and she starts talking in that southern accent it just makes me turn into a puddle on the floor.and when she starts talking like that and says that she doesn't want to move I just can't deny her,Hell I spoil her rotten and she deserves it since if it wasn't for her I wouldn't be a full time maker staying at home to work while she works and makes sure the bills are paid when I get behind..
I would definatly like to come back up and visit sometime and maybe we can beat out some hot steel someday.
Bruce

Yep, It was a fantastic Forge and Feast. I'm here to tell all that Chuck, Ted, and Bruce are great compadres and LOVELY, SLIM Donna is a cook unmatched. Sparks and jokes were flying around like a herd of fireflies in a southern summer evening - which reminds me, don't even think about moving away to pilgrimville Bruce. Chuck and I will do drastic things to you if you do - YA BELONG TO US!!!!
