I stopped at a table at the gun show Saturday that had a box of miscellaneous el cheapo knives marked "$5.00 Choice."

On a whim I just picked through it a little and found this...

Not a bad grab for a five spot. :)

Obviously used, but looks to be in good condition and well cared for. An excellent knife for $5.

$5 around here won't even get you a cheapy import. :grumpy:

Looks like these guys would know what they are selling for $5.00. I could sorta understand it if it were a flea market.

Nice find.

I like posts like this, it keeps hope alive there is a Lucky Knife find just around the corner.

Will you take $5.55 for it? LOL :D

I didn't go, see any Bucks.......300Bucks

There was a pretty worn Buck 110 and a couple of Uncle Henry Bearpaws in the same box. I hooked my buddy up on one of the Bearpaws.

At another table I did see some of the yellow Bucks, but they were a little more expensive. :)

 Dang it you must of got there before me??:p Was it in the plastic box w/ the two big Western Bowie knock offs? I got a 6OT in a leather sheath w/ initials TG in black ink outta that one for a 5 spot that looks like it has never seen a stone.

Good for you Coonskinner for saving that ole girl:thumbup:;):D!!!

We need to meet at one of the Tulsa shows!!

That was the box. :)

I'm planning on going to the big one in April.

i had an Old Timer like this when I was a kid that I carried to school in my back pocket.

Those big folding hunters were the knife of choice, the sought after possession of all the redneck kids back around Oaks, Oklahoma where i grew up.

Cases and Schrade Waldens were also highly favored.

I traded that knife off for something and have always missed it.

I was sure tickled to find this one.

This is the second thread like this, you guys are killing me. I would have pulled the trigger on that one too. Old Timers are so much fun to sharpen. I would have given him six if it was real dull. LOL.

Hi Coonskinner -

That is a heckuva nice find!

Thanks for the picture - I always enjoy seeing pictures of knives.

best regards -
