My Ivory Lanny's Clip (EDC)

I was talking to a friend the other day and he asked to see my knife. He was surprised when I pulled out an old OVB with a broken blade. My excuse was that I sold every thing that I made..:o..after that moment of embarrassment I decided to put everything on hold and make something for myself.

This is what I came up with.

It's a D-2 Lanny's Clip scaled down to just over 3 3/8" closed. I found some very nice pre-banned Ivory to wrap it in. I topped it off with a bullocks shield which complements the Ivory nicely.

It disappears in my pocket and now I can't wait to be asked that question again!

I'll try to get some better pictures of her later.

Brent, that came out great. Bet it carries very comfortably.

and the cobbler's kids always went barefoot...

you need to be good to yourself upon occasion...well done indeed...

I'd say that's a pretty good upgrade:thumbup:. Not only that, it's good advertisement. When somebody asks about it you get to tell them you made it. The ivory is very nice as well. You certainly don't have to be embarrassed anymore.

and look at it like your business card, nice to have a sample of your work to show!
like it alot:thumbup:

At work today,BF's member JZambino & I were having this exact conversation & this exact point was JZ's.
Excellent, every detail & aspect.Just don't get "talked out of it",or,if you do,make another for yourself.
This is the way it should be,IMO

Pretty sweet Brent! If I were a slipjoint maker with your skills I would have a hard time selling any of my creations. I would want to keep every one for myself. :)

...putting them in the mail sux :rolleyes:, I can tell ya that.

Thanks for all the encouragement.

BTW. I really think I'm going to like this smaller Lannys clip. It's a nice carry.

That's a great looking knife! I like the size too. Just right for carrying everyday.
