Hey everyone and John,

The Kephart I ordered arrived today. I tore the box open and have been messing around with it for a bit. John, this knife feels great. It's got a real nice heft to it with this thicker steel. I feel like I could chop with it. The firesteel you did is awesome too. I found the unsharpened very back end of the blade works great for striking with. I'll get some pictures of it up soon. Looks great buddy, ya can't the Kephart design as a real down to earth functional blade !!!!

That's the thing about John's knives. I've often said, they make you want to work them. They just have the look and feel of a well made tool that begs to be used.:thumbup:
 
Me too, That was my first JK. He has made me one more since with Micarta.

That might be my next order after the one I have ordered now. Something darker for the handle I think. A dark brown wood.

The Rosewood looks great on them too, that was my second choice.
