Finally my Khukuris arrived:

30 Sirupati
20 Ang Khola
BAS

They are excellent and make a true addition to my sword and dagger collection. Uncle Bill thanks a lot they are excellent pieces. I cannot read the letters on my Khuks. Who made them? Excellent pieces. tell your kamis that a collector of antique arms is fascinated by their work, excellent job, Amu Bill, excellent.

Regards,

Manoucher

Many thanks, Man. If you tell me the mark we can ID the maker. Might be initials in English, too. If so, tell us the initials.

Uncle Bill,

I cannot read the initials, I think they are in Nepalese.

Manoucher - the initials are probably H.I. in devanagari (or, actually, ha.ii.) - on the other side should be a symbol, perhaps a half-moon or a stylised nepali flag (looks like two triangles together) or a cross or something, that is the kami's signature. Or, perhaps now they've changed this to roman initials?

Thanks a lot.

I have a half moon on the Ang khola 20.
Two small triangles on the 30 inch Sirupati and BAS.

What do they mean?

Manoucher:

Not only did you acquire several additions to your sword collection, but, in the case of the 30" Sirupati you acquired your very own home chiropractic kit.

At least that's if I understand Rusty correctly.
