I have a like new first generation Lone Wolf Harsey, no box but with the padded zip case. It has the Micarta scales and the LAWKS mechanism. The blade is centered, lockup is perfect, the liner engages the blade tang just enough for the LAWKS to function. The knife was carried a couple of times, but never cut anything, the blade has no dings or marks on it

I'd like to trade for a NIB/LNIB newer Harsey with the Nylon scales and the Harsey sheath.

Please e-mail me with your questions/offers: hironakar002@hawaii.rr.com. Thanks.

My apologoes but, WHY  ? The older one seems so much more desirable, (to me at least).

I knew that someone was going to ask this... I have several reasons, actually.

First off, I've sold/traded off most of my collection, to obtain "better" knives. For instance, I sold off 5 or 6 knives in the $100 - $200 range, and bought a Sebenza and Strider SMF. So I'm somewhat out of the trading/selling/buying game, and as many here know, it's quite addictive - I'm doing this to stay in the game.

Secondly, I'm an engineer, I like high-tech materials like Ti and carbon fiber, and the look of the Nylon just appeals to me.

Finally, this state has very little hunting, and no one in my family shoots, hunts or collects knives, so I have no history with Micarta. It's not like I grew up with the material on my favorite hunting knife, so it holds no familiarity or nostalgia for me. That, coupled with the reason above, makes the "manufactured" look of the Nylon more appealing to me.

Thanks for letting me provide this long-winded response. :D

Anyone?

Seems like a lot of people were put off when Lone Wolf switched to the Nylon scales, I thought that this would go quickly...

I got an e-mail from someone named "Laurence" yesterday, and I replied right away, but the e-mail bounced back with a "unknown user" error. It took over 24 hours for the e-mail to bounce, that's why it's taken so long for me to notice. If that person could try again, maybe from a different e-mail address, I'd appreciate it.
