I can't think of it off the top of my head, but I'm pretty sure it's the same as the scales on rooikat's. He or Dan might be able to tell you.

Edit: It's black acacia.

I was wondering who ended up with my knife's twin..
Acadia wood has an interesting personality. Depending on the light, it 'gleams', almost has a slight metallic shimmer in spots. Hard to explain.
Also, I believe that in Masonic lore, an acadia tree was planted over the grave of a very famous murder victim.
