Today I was able to obtain a Manix 80mm, PlainEdge Black G-10. 80mm per box and 83mm per invoice. On the box it says Manix 80mm LE and the upper right label has a number C101GP. On the blade, one side has the Spyderco spider and on the choil it says Spyderco CPM S30V and on the other side the choil is marked Golden Colorado, U.S.A., Earth. On the left side of that choil there is what appears to be a small scrolled initial, an E or a W. Anyone know what these mean? Anyway it's a black g-10 scales and flat ground S30V blade. My first impression of this knife is very favorable. It's well balanced in the hand, a substancial knife yet lightweight in the pocket. Not an inexpensive folder by any means but a high quality no nonsence folder that will be seeing some time in my pocket rotation. I doubt it will surpass the Seb as my favorite, but I must say job well done Sal, you put out a fine product and I'll be looking forward to putting my new Manix through the paces and reporting back here. I hate to dissapoint anyone but no torture testing here, just real word use and observations therof.:p ;)

I wondered what that 'clacking' sound was. I thought it was someone busting up old bricks - now I know it was just a new owner manixerbating on the other side of the planet.......:D

Congrats on the score Scott Dog. The stylised signature is an 'SG' - Sal's logo.

Nice pickup  . This knife will serve you will and dont be afraid to use it because this knife is meant to be put to work.

Scott Dog,
It is 83 mm. And Duke 05 is correct, the marking is Eric's mark, it's on all knives that he designs. We're glad to hear you are happy with it! Enjoy!

Whoa. EG designed the Manix? Had no idea....it doesn't look all weird! I mean, by Spyderco standards. That guy does some of the absolute best ergonomics...he's designed number 2 (Manix) and number 1 (Dodo), I believe, in my ergonomics list.
