Recently I received my large plain edge Wegner, it looks as if it will live up to all the great reviews. The handle fits my hand perfectly, the lock-up gives off the feel that it's solid as a rock, and I love the style of the blade and the edge on it. But something that is not always mentioned about this knife is it's overall appearance- it's a very attractive knife, the few people I've showed it to immediately favor it over my less stylish knives. I hope that perhaps its good looks will help it to appear more docile and less alarming to people. My thanks to Spyderco and Tim Wegner for creating a knife so pleasing to the eye and yet of the highest quality and function.

I bought my Wegner yesterday and I think it is great. I also bought a Sharpmaker 204. It is the best sharpening system I have used.

Good choice! Mine is still going strong.
The looks aren't as "tactical" (that word again...) as others, however mine still scares the pants off of my coworkers. What can you do... Anyway- enjoy your Wegners- they grow on you!

Mine will be in my mailbox on Monday or Tuesday.

Question: does the liner lock touch the opposite scale when open? I've been reading that this can be a problem.

ptpalpha- I read those same posts concerning the liner lock of the Wegner. The one I bought Thursady has no trouble with liner lock and it touches the scales on the opposite side.

It has arrived! It is, of course, a wonder in design and execution. Now I'm off to go play.

Decado, thanks! That's exactly what I was hoping to hear. Now I think I'll try to sleep until Monday when the mail arrives
