First off, big thanks to DJKnives. These guys run the gun show circuit in Ohio and are the nicest, friendliest, and most knowledgable dealers I have ever had the pleasure to do buisness with. Forgive them for selling Chinese junk knives, they have to pay the bills somehow. Thier selection of mid-grade and high end production knives and overall attitude makes up for that sin. At the last show, they still continued to show me thier wares, even though I told them not to waste thier time because I was broke and just there to spend time with my uncle and brother.
I got a ProTech Godfather with 'special grey' handles, G10 scales, and a plain black blade. This is my nicest (and most costly) knife purchase to date. I don't quite know how to feel right now. After years of buying 'working' knives, such as my SOG and CRKT, I decided to watch the spending for a few months and really save for something nice. This knife will see use as a dress blade, but I'm torn about carrying it daily. It is most definately capable of handling daily use, but I'd hate to scratch it in my pocket and risk a ding on the blade during use.
Oh well, for the time being I'll just knifesturbate with it. Any ideas for displaying it? Sure its not as artsy as the one with blue handles and ivory scales, but its still a beauty of a blade and deserves a better life than locked up in The Box o' Pointy and Shooty Things.
