Thanks to a recommendation by Paul Long, I brought J's knife home from Blade to sheath, here is the result.
Rawhide over veg-tan, and the decorations are tin cones, horse hair, brass spots, antique trade beads, and a bear claw dangle on the front with my traditional coyote claw mark on the back. J's Knife is random damasus, buckeye burl spacer, wrought iron guard and coyote jaw handle with a damascus tooth. Thanks again Paul for the recommendation!

Nice looking package John. J's knife is really neat with that damascus tooth. I'm not aware that I've ever seen a primitive work like this from Mr. Neilson.

As always, John you nailed that sheath, it goes perfectly with the knife. I love the "brass spots & bear claw" decorations.

Cool Collaboration,

Bob

I am always impressed with both you and J's work, very, very well done. :)

John,
What an awesome sheath ! And done in record time no less. You work is amazing and I'll bet J.Neilson will become a multiple repeat customer. Look out knife publications... here comes John Cohea !

John, what was the delay in getting that done? You had the knife Sunday evening in Atlanta and had to then go home and this is already Wednesday. (of course I saw these pictures from J. on Tuesday). You are going to have to speed things up if you are going to compete in the big time!:D:D:D

That sheath really sets the knife off and visa versa. You make me proud that I did recommend your work.

Paul

Now Paul, I got the knife at 3pm on Sunday, and the sheath was completed by 2pm on Monday. Maybe I am slowing down in my old age a little:D
I am packing this piece now to ship. It takes these things a couple of three days to dry completely. J seems to be happy with the pics, but the real test will be when he opens the box!

Damn fine sheath brother John.I sure don't know how you did it so fast, but it sure looks gret.Dave:)

There's nothing wrong with that package...Beautiful work !

Thanks a lot everyone. I had fun doing this for J and I look forward to doing more in the future. I wish I had known you were in Atlanta Stuart. I would have liked to have met you in person,Maybe next year:D

John, friend, Paul does NOT recommend those that have not proven themselves. The combo from you and J. Nielson is proof enough of the skills you both possess! ---Sandy---

Been on the boat and have'nt had internet for a while. Thanks for all the kind words. Sandy it was great to finally meet you at Blade, even if briefly. This is the second Blade in a row Paul has recommended me, and I am always grateful!
