My special EDC JKs

The special knives are the EWOK and Rockywolf's Choice. To my knowledge, this is the only EWOK with extended tang and the other knife has maybe one other twin out there. Both are convexed and fill the hand well. They have been used a lot, but due to so many of John's knives floating around here, they don't see as much time as they should. I actually use the pocket scandi he made me a lot more. See below pics...

Heck, I can't remember the exact meaning...essential work outdoors knife? Maybe John will chime in...
 
more great pics Rock! and you weren't kidding...you like the thick handles. very nice. that knife you referred to as the "Scandi", what model is that? what handle material is that? walnut?

It's called the Pocket Scandi. I owned the very first one a couple years ago...I got it off the original owner. I sold it (dumb) and decided to get another. This one has ironwood and it is AWESOME.
 
Awesome. That Iron wood looks great. I may need to reconsider black micarta on my pocket muk, and go with iron wood.

that was my original guess, but then changed my mind to walnut. i love it. and steel...i am right there with you...i have a custom on order with john in walnut...i may also decide to upgrade to ironwood. in FACT...dum-dum-daaaa. i smell a new post (I won't hijack yours rockywolf).
 
Hijack all you want! This is a forum to share, discuss, learn, etc. keeping it going is why I hang here more than elsewhere.

Ha! Got it correct. The EWOK was at one time John's biggest seller, IIRC. I personally believe everyone could benefit from owning one. Or any of the smaller ones in this thread.

Btw, I've convexed the scandi. Just saying...
