I wanted to "upgrade" after the tournament from the lame pine round attached to the door in the yard I had......SO!:
from 11 feet:
This one was placed:
placed shot again (taking pictures for Jeff Koch, trying at least)
I'm going to break out the lab's expensive camera later.
and Finally:
The whole backyard "camp"
I got all the materials, except for the screws, from people's trees cut in their yards (tulip poplar, I asked) and the backdrop came from dumpster diving.
I got the odd color paint from the shed. I tried to mix in red to get it darker but it ended up in some pastel easter bunny puke thing. Who knows. Anyway I have a few larger rounds that I intend to set up individually for hawk throwing. I also have a huge world war II camo netting that I am going to put behind the whole thing so any crazy throws don't hit the house.
The knife targets are setup to reflect IKTHOF style tournament throwing. I have spacers out there now so you can tell distances for rotational throws. (that doesn't mean I don't play with the Thorn throw!
)
The knives are made by Jeff Koch. I had him drill those three small holes because many people throw Kochs and I've seen people get them confused.
