Here are two pictures of my knife 3 1/2 yerars apart. The firt picture is of the first knife I made which was a slipjoint that I sold for $125 and later bougth it back from the person I sold it to and the second picture is of the first three bladed knife that I made which is a sowbelly that I just finished on Thursday of last week. Some of you may have already read my other thread of how I came to make knifes full time but for those of you that do not know look up the NEW SLIPJOINT MAKER thread here on tradional folders and fixed blades and you can find out how I started. Thanks Bill Ruple for teaching me how to make this new model. My next projet with Bill is to learn how to make a split back whittler in a elephant toe nail pattern a big one by the way, in case you guys do not know I like to build big slipjoint knifes. CLOSED LENGHT 3 7/8 INCH
BLADE MATERIAL CPM 154

I wouldn't have a clue how to make a knife, but it looks to me like you've come a LONG WAY in a short period of time. Glad you're here and I can't wait to see more!

That Sowbelly gives me the shakes. I love it. Looks like everything is going great for a sir.

Wow, that's a great contrast between the two.

Honestly, I like the first folder quite a bit. Good and comfortable looking handle, nice blade shape, a really nice effort. The nail nick isn't great, and I can't say I'm in love with the file work, but overall a really good looking pattern. I'd actually like to see some more pics of the first one if you don't mind, maybe a spine shot and closed and open top shots.

Then I scrolled down and did a double take. That sowbelly is knock down, drag out gorgeous. Fantastic fit and finish, at least visually just stunning(great finish on the bolsters by the way, that satin looks smooth and beautiful), great blade shapes, and the aforementioned nail nicks are right on the money now. Really shows a huge amount of improvement, even starting from what I would consider a pretty stellar knife for a first effort.

Kind of funny too, my wife(who really only knows anything about knives from listening to me babble) had exactly the same reaction. Liked the first one, then was just dumbfounded by the sowbelly.

Great work, keep it coming!

That is a good looking knife. I like the fact that the liners are minus the filework. Your work has really improved in just a few short years. Keep up the good work.

That sowbelly is brillant. That is one of my goals by the end of the year to have made a 3 bladed sowbelly. I might have to send an email your way on some hints and tips if you don't mind.

Very nice work. When I first looked at the Sowbelly, it reminded me a lot of a Bill Ruple knife.

Call me and I will try to help you as others have helped me.

Here is another piece just recently completed by Enrique. This one is 3 7/8" closed and the fit & finish is really nice.

The barehead trapper does have some awesome bone jigging and the shield looks great on that knife. Blade grinds rock too.

Hey guys I have not been on the forum a lot lately but I,m posting some of my recent work. It consists of a single blade zulo spear pint blade that will have interior mamoth ivory handles and a single blade sowbelly with amber jigged bone that should be part of a set of three sowbellies which should be a single a double and a three bladed all to look the same but my brother already came and said he wants the single bladed so I must do another one.
