My two watches, comments?

Ok, so I haven't worn a watch in years. I had my grandfathers 900$+ watch on, it was a retirement gift, i forget the brand, and I realized how I missed wearing one! Later on that day he hands me a Seiko Kinetic (5M62) and I know NOTHING about it. Don't know if it's a good brand, good watch or whatever. My only other watch I own is a Casio G-Shock, one of the original nothing too fancy watches. Green backlight, timer, two alarms, stopwatch and date. The seiko has some horrible scratches on the front of it, some my nail catches, that can only really be seen if you tilt the watch, but some of the deeper ones can be seen looking straight at it. How do i fix them, if i can? My G-Shock has a slight scuff on it, maybe double the size of the end of a ballpoint pen.

5M62 is the movement model, not the watch model number.

Light scratches can be polished out but if deep scratches bother you then you'll have to replace the crystal.

In general, I like Seiko watches.
