So tonight I started taking down my Vantage with the huge rattle (came that way right out of the box) expecting to find a loose stop pin like many have suggested an low and behold it was much simpler, and my sons was the same way. Come to find out that it was the sleeve that goes over the center spacer rod was sliding back and forth because the factory had not completely tightened the screw squeezing the two halves together. I bet 90% of them out there that rattle have the same problem. I looked at the stop pin anyway and find it hard to believe that would ever be the problem. Anyway, now I have a solid knife. LOVE the Vantage!
