I have not seen one naked before, nice that the lettering on the blade was retained. Wonder how he did it.

That looks nice. In my experience, 52100's corrosion resistance is about the same as 1095's, so it should develop a patina very quickly. It will also rust very quickly if not properly maintained. That could prove challenging for the handle, since oiling it would make it slick. Were it mine, I would probably leave the handle coated. Another option might be to wrap it.

I've thought of getting one, and doing a leather underneath, epoxy cord wrap over.
