Native III much beefier than the Native?

I just recieved a Native III, and I was quite surprised at how much beefier/bulkier it is than the Native I used to own.
I used to carry the Native in my pocket with no clip, but this Native III is just too big for that.

Does anyone have a sXs comparison pic of the Native & Native III? Just curious, if someone has one on hand.

TIA

I just got a III. I find it more bulbous-feeling, but in a good way. I prefer the blade shape and the feel in the hand. The Native was always about how it feels in your hand. (The 2005 Spyderco basically explains that the III is a funny-looking thing because they designed it for feel. Come to think of it, that's SOP for Spyderco, and it's one reason why they make the best production folders.)

It's really only a little bit larger in a few points. It's thicker in the middle. Otherwise it's very close to the same size. But those little things make a huge difference. It sure feels better than the old one.

Hahaha, I was about to recommend checking out Paul's site, since he's got exactly the pic you're asking for... But Slvgx posted a link to the thread where I asked the same question and Paul posted said pic. Very nice, sir.

I sold off my Native, once I found the Paramilitary, but thanks for the offer.

The Native is a great knife, but I do wish the hole was not partially covered.

The native III has spoiled me for other small knives - even the highly recommended Caly Jr - eveything else feels awkward to hold and use by comparison. The wire clip is also a bonus for a serial clip wrecker like me.

I felt it was too great a knife to push aside completely over a minor issue that I resolved in about ten minutes with a sheet of sandpaper and a length of dowel.
