Thought I'd try out my new thumbnail posting ability and show off my two new medium Emerson Neck Knives.

Hi Don -

Nice knives. Are there longer ones than the two "medium" knives shown? I've never seen any sizes other than the two in your picture, and have always referred to them as just 'short' and 'long'. That shorty tanto looks like it must be a vintage knife, too.

Ed:

There's a cool thread in the General Knives, under "Custom Knives" which you can learn to post thumbnail photos.

Seth:

My understanding is that there are three sizes of neck knives. My small one is 6 1/4 inches long. The two Medium ones are 7 3/4 inches long. I was told by the purveyor of these knives that he also had one left in stock that he got from Ernie at the N.Y. Show that is 8 inches long. I'm not aware of any other sizes in this configuration. The two medium ones I have are marked: Specwar 2000, and the small one is a Specwar 99.

can you tell me when those are going to be released and whether there will be one with a 2.5" blade or less (2.5" is the legal limit in chicago...).

thanks much, as i am looking for a 2.5" fixed blade for daily carry...

WHERE DID YOU GET THEM, AND HOW CAN I ORDER ONE OF THOSE SMALL KNIVES? I HAVE NEVER SEEN THESE B4 AND AM VERY CURIOUS.........PRICE??

KEEP EM SHARP OR IT'S USELESS

Staysharp:

The two medium knives I purchased came from Jay Shadow at Arizona Custom Knives. He said that he got several direct from Ernie in N.Y. I don't know that he has any left due to him showing several of them of his website last week.

Good Luck!

Other than retail, I've seen these go from 80 to 450. I guess they're not going to be made anymore as with all the customs.
