I am thinking about getting a neck knife. It seems a double edged blade would be best for this type of carry because the sheath may
get twisted sometimes and it wouldnt matter if it was a double edged knife.Anyways, thats why i am here.I would appreciate any suggestions on what neck knives i should check out.Tell me which one you like the best!!!
Thanks

I know that Knifeart.com has an interesting Dozier neck knife with a sharpened false edge. That's some quality work if you are willing to spend $110. On the other end of the spectrum I think ABC Direct sells the Gigand mosquito for about $15, and people have said many good things about that little blade (although I think the steel is only 420).

The Gigand Mosquito is AUS-8A, which is good stuff for a $15 knife. Go to the Reviews forum for more on the Mosquito and the Guardians. One of the Guardians is double-edged.

Two makers who I can personally vouch for in neck knives are Kevin Wilkins & Pat Crawford!!

I would recommend knives from Newt Livesay, REKAT, or Simonich. Great products, great prices.

Check your local laws before carrying a double edged knife.

Also check the laws on carrying fixed blades, in a concealed fashion, for that matter! :) Another consideration is the knives along the lines of Fred Perrin's La Griffe and a few of the similar designs from Black Cloud/Laci Szabo. These feature a handle that is similar in shape to a gun grip, and while being very comfy, offer the ability of the user to tell which way the blade is facing, since the knife can only be held in one direction.
