After 2010

After much use and abuse (like leaving blade wet in sink) it is still going strong!

That is the knife and the top pic is the one that got me hooked on John's knives. It now looks a little worse for wear but I'd still be proud to carry it.

That poor knife :-\
Why would you say that, it's happy being used. That's what they are for.
How long did you leave it in the sink???
See there are others that use is as their regular kitchen knife and they treat it like any old stainless steel knife. Try explaining the difference between carbon steel, tool steel, and man of steel to people who don't give a shit about knives. This is the end result.
Feel free to send it to me for refurbishing. (not that it needs it.)
I may ask you for that but not until the handles start to come loose which I don't see happening anytime soon. Heck, I can go out and batton wood and the scales will still be fine.
Nice knife. Bad Bear, it has rust on it!!!
I isn't all my fault.
Is that rust or patina gone wild? :)
Both.
Are those liners or black mold? :D

Jeff
Yes, it has separated a bit but that is from the time it spends in the sink and the neglect (not so much by me).
