Thanks Uncle good to get this kind of info to the public eye. Hopefully the people that don't realize what control really does will wake up and help prevent a similar thing happening here.
 
I guess people never learn! I've seen what happened to unarmed civilians in Iraq - it ain't pretty. The first thing conviscated by any invader is firearms. It shouldn't be too long until the majority of people in America just give theirs away. Hard to believe this is the same country and people who have fought and won every major war in this century.

I sent it on to about 50 people, some of them gun control advocates. That ought to stir up their little evil pots!!!!

Similar stats are coming out of the U.K., but they are suppressed inside the country.
 
Send a copy of the email to the gun control advocates although most of them do not want to be confused by facts. They already have their minds made up.
 
Have to agree, most gun control advocates do not care to look at objective evidence as it diminishes their arguments.

Come to think of it, it would be quite interesting if all current laws were reviewed from an evidence based perspective to see if they make rational sense or are simply emotional knee jerk responses. Down right frightening for any politician to actually consider making law based on factual evidence...;) :p :D
 
Yep, it's the "don't confuse me with facts. My mind's made up" syndrome which seems to be standard operating procedure for politicians.

To add a little more to the debate think about this: I know of a case where a guy here (Australia) was *ARRESTED* (yes, ARRESTED by the police) for carrying a SWISS ARMY KNIFE...

What can I say? guns/knives/anything that *could* be used as an offensive/defensive weapon - these things are NOT 'politically correct' (PC) down here in Australia - not in the hands of law abiding citizens anyway - its okay for the CRIMINALS to have them illegally - just not for US law abiding citizens:-(

I recently bought myself what is probably one of the LAST Cold Steel Black Bear Classic fighters in the state where I live - was told by the guy in the knife shop that this is one of the types of knives that will NO LONGER be imported into the state/country (because it is a double edged fighter and is now an 'illegal import' or something similar...)

I've just got back to Oz after working in the UK for 6 months - THEY apparently need some sort of a *license*/registration over there to even own a *knife* that would be considered an offensive weapon...

BOTTOM LINE: UK and OZ are BOTH going the same way - *ONLY* the criminals will have guns/other weapons - the law abiding citizens will have NOTHING to defend themselves with and will be sitting ducks for whatever the baddies want to do to them...

HOME INVASIONS are the big thing down here at the moment - criminals who pick on the sick/weak/elderly in their own homes - rob/beat/torture (and sometimes kill them) - of course the police are powerless to do anything about it - and so are the unarmed civilians...

Quite recently here in Perth a guy RISKED HIS LIFE to try and save a neighbour - the neighbour was murdered by three or four members of a gang - carrying SHOTGUNS (illegal firearms of course) - the brave citizen who RISKED HIS LIFE had nothing more than a baseball bat to deal with these scum - IF the criminal carrying the shotgun HADN'T tripped up/fallen over the good guy would have been cut in half from the shotgun blast - but LUCK was with him...

In my country its now down to LUCK - because what else can you count on when you are facing ARMED CRIMINALS and don't have the right to even own an 'offensive knife' - and FORGET about suitable self-defence firearms - because if you DID have one (illegally) and USED IT - *you* would go to JAIL for defending yourself...

In this country, only the criminals have rights...

AMERICANS - learn a lesson from what can happen when you live in a country where you have the right to do most things - except protect/defend yourself and those you love...

Just remember that the Jewish day care center in LA was attacked because four other previously scouted Jewish places were too well prepared ( yeah, I mean armed ) even in Kalifornia.

Khukris?:-) NOW you're talking:-) Mmmmh - just blew another 500 Oz on a second CS black bear classic - and some extra bucks on a kydex sheath and harness with sheath - I *want* a khukri pretty bad but there's only so much I can get away with using the upcoming birthday as an excuse before the missus uses one of my own knives on me:-)

Still - christmas ain't THAT far away:-)))

As a matter of fact, I've got an 18 inch kobra headed down under today.

When I lived in Nepal I ran across quite a few Aussies visiting there and used to spend some pretty lively nights with them at the bars drinking and telling stories. They were very good at both.

We *do* seem to have a bit of a reputation for that:-) I've been known to sink the occasional light ale myself - and tell a few stories down the pub...:-)

RE: 18 inch kukri - STOP making me drool:-) There's only so much I can put on the credit card in one week and the wife ain't as dumb as she wants me to think she is:-)
