Hello. New guy here. Not new to knives, just to this site. Been reading a lot of the threads and finnaly decided to jump in. I have mostly tacticals but just started to get me some slippies. I use to have a bunch of Old Timers and Uncle Henrys my uncles would give me when I was a kid but lost them some where down the road. Man, I could really kick myself in the butt for that. Here are some of my recent purchases. A Case md. stockman 63032CV, a RR yellow whittler, and a US Classic with orange bone scales. Love the Case (it's all my family in North Carolina will cary) but I was really impressed with the RR. The steel isn't bad. Sharpens well and holds a decent edge. Already did a few carvings with it. My wife just shakes her head at me cause now I have the fever and want more slippies.

Welcome, Rob!

 To your knives and carvings!

 To your wife for JUST shaking her head at you! ;)

New addiction.....don't expect any interventions from this crowd. We are a bunch of enablers. :)

You got a nice collection started there. Welcome.

Welcome to BF'S. Lots of great people hangin out here...
They are very addictive. A lot of us here have the same sickness :D

3 new knives and your already carving. Your off to a good start

You may have noticed that all of us here are mutually dependent. Definition----mutually dependent (especially of a psychological relationship in which one person perpetuates another's addiction or behaviour) I was going to say I'm sorry for you but then we might lose you and of course we all need each other to depend on. So all I can really say is WELCOME!!! great to have you.:D:D

I think you stole some of my stuff, you better give it back!:p

Great taste in knives.

Welcome to the fold.:)

It is good here.

Yup, no turning back now! :D
You will have less money from now on but more satisfaction.

Maybe I should write a song...I can get some, satisfaction.
When I'm driven in my car...... :p
Ya I know, shut up!!

That orange guy looks really nice. I have personally been keeping an interested eye on the slippies that cross my screen, looking at the different blade combinations for a particular set that looks just right. That one looks pretty close! Is it a Case?

Welcome aboard. Watch out for the Exchange...seriously, watch way out, and if you are smart stay out, because otherwise you will spend more money than you would have thought possible. It is damn good fun though. I have 4 blades coming my way right now after managing to abstain for a couple of months.. :D

Hi,

A Welcome from me also! You have a nice little collection going there. That Case is looks great. They make a heck of a nice Stockman. Those RR's are just plain addicting. A bewildering choice of patterns and scales. And them yallar' knives are the best around here. :D:D

The US Classic is a Taylor Brand isn't it? I haven't owned one of those yet. But it looks put together nicely.

If you keep hanging around here, you will soon find yourself selling off your tactical's and buying slippes back. You'll love it!

Thanks for all the wecomes. I just found out there's a gun -n- knife show going on this weekend about 10 mins away from me. I'm in trouble now.

The orange bone is a US Classic sow belly. Well made china folder. Decent F&F and good snap.

Well all I can say Rob is,........ Ya better get used to the little lady's headshaking:;):D

Only been here about a year myself, but I can say that this is certainly one of the best places to be on the forum.

Personally, I have never seen so many fine old knives or as many gorgeous new ones as the folks around here have.

Welcome!

Robert
