Just got these two blades about a week. Here is my initial impressions:

Both blades come hair shaving sharp. Right now, I haven't used them real hard, just sliced a few A4 papers & test cut a 1/2" hemp rope. They perform very well.

Handles are nicely wrapped & feel comfortable & secure in hand. I especially like the red ray skin of the small blade.

Craftmanship is very, very good. The grind line is clean, fit & finish is nice, the curve on the edge is beautiful.

Overall speaking, both knives are beautifully crafted, look stout & elegant and come with an extremely SHARP edge. They just feel great in hand.

Plus, Pohan Leu is a super nice guy to deal with. He keeps me informed in various stage of knife making. He always replies to my questions (some are really silly) quickly & patiently.

From ordering the blades to get the knives in hand, the whole process is a happy experience to me.

Thanks for looking!

Joe

Thanks TJL!
Yeah, the blades are better than what I expect. Especially the large one, it feel solid & powerful in hand but still has very good balance.
I'm glad I made the right decision.

My necker will be like that!

So, Pohan, did you sort out that faulty thumbramp? :D

Gonna have to cut out a new blank! :D next time I'll try cutting the grooves with my eyes open LOL and turn on some light. Maybe i'll just use a hand file like back in the days! Won't be so "whoops" like.

Your a hoot severedthumbs. :)

But you're wrong, these Leu postings are never threads. Within a few hours TJL turns it into a commercial and a religious experience.
