Recently I purchased a Case Easter Barlow, and I liked the pattern so much that I decided to order a regular Case Barlow for EDC. I looked for something with darker scales and after missing a few older Case knives on Ebay, I stumbled upon a website the carried some new Case Caramel Brown Barn Board Barlows. I ordered one, and received it today. Fit and finish are very good, and I really like the darker scales. IMO the scales really are reminiscent of old weathered barn wood siding. Thought I post some pictures for the Barlow fans. The pictures were taken without a flash, in not so great lighting, so they are a bit noisy. Still I think they captured the detail of the scales pretty well.

Hi,

Nice one! The scales remind me of a Boker with their Grand Canyon scales. A classic and pleasing look. You are going to carry this a lot I'll bet.

I appreciate all of the compliments, and yes, I believe it only comes in stainless steel. It was made in 2006 and is now retired. Found an online merchant that still has some in stock.

That small blade almost looks lke it is hitting the liner. Might be just the pic though. Other than that it looks pretty good

No, it is not hitting the liner, but it does sit closer on that side. The picture makes it look a bit worse than it really is. The main blade is about perfect in contrast.

That Barlow is very nice looking.
The Barlow is going to be the Case Forum knife for '10....smooth chestnut bone....very cool:thumbup:

Nice, wish Case would made a single blade.

I thought that would be a good idea too, so while I shared some beers with a buddy, he voided this warranty for me:D
It's nice and slim in the pocket....a regular in my EDC rotation.

That's a good looking knife, Doug.

the nice thing about the Case Barlow is it has the classic Barlow dimensions and says "Barlow", unlike some others on the market today. The only thing I can see that I don't like much is the extra little pin on the but end...they use it early in the building process to attach the covers to the liner assy. Other than that, it looks mahvelous. ;)
