New Cell phone with built-in GPS!!!

Now if they could make a phone/GPS/PDA/FRS/GMRS/MP3/camera with a 60gig hard-drive, firewire, and USB 2.0, then they'd have something. ;)

but all I need is for both my GPS unit and communications to go down at the same time.

I believe in standardizing batteries, but keeping every function in one little unit is just asking for trouble.

Don't get me wrong, I like it. It's perfect for weekends and goofing off, but if you need to depend on it for something crucial, have a backup.

Ewok, you forgot s-video out so you can plug it into a tv and watch movies off it and windows xp so you don't need a separate computer. :-D

Looks cool, but what service providers will carry it?

Dude, s-video is so last century! It's got to have composite HDTV out.

I hear you MelancholyMutt, I agree in redundancy/backup, that's why I would just love that new Casio Pro-Trek GPS watch to go with the Benefon ESC! Otherwise I would have one of the E-treks as a standby or a standby battery or two for the Benefon. But yes, I agree with you totally on back ups.
