I wonder if Tru-bal will take legal action. Does anyone know if they used any existing throwers in creating their designs? I just wonder if some of these models may be rather old, although not often seen or mass produced? Can you sue even if you don't hold a patent on a knife? I assume most smaller custom makers can't really afford to patent every design they create.
Two of those knives have design patents, but they were not maintained over the years. But that still does not give someone the right to rip them off, especially when the original company is still making them.
I have an approx. 14" Tru-Balance throwing knife exactly like what is on the cover of Harry McEvoy's book on knife throwing.
Does it have any particular value due to that?
Thanks,Darr
