I just finished this one.ATS-34, 13" blade, 1 1/2" wide, 1/4" thick, 18" overall length. It balances where the edge and risco met. Is there still a place for something like this? I'd say it's more for fighting than chopping, but I've got a thick edge on it for strength.

Hey, wasn't this designed for giving rectal inspections to extremist leaders?:)

Seriously though, that big knife is great looking.

Tom: No, It's not sharpened, it's at a 45 deg grind for strength.

KWM: Yes it is, I checked on the thread yesterday and it was gone, I thuoght it got deleted. I figured the wording didn't go over too good with somebody, so I posted this here.

Sir,

That is one BEAUTIFUL EDGED TOOL!!!!

I've been thinking about buying a "Bowie style" knife.

You don't live too far away either.

I live in BR.

You would not be disapointed if you secured one of these tools/knives.
They are without a doubt some of the finest. The craftsmanship is nothing short of remarkable. You will not find a better person to deal with than Dennis. Truly a man of a higher caliber.
Nuff said.

Awesome knife! Icc knives are among the best, and Dennis is a great guy to do business with.

JungleJim308,

Is the bowie flat or hollow ground? and what do you use for a sheath?

n2s

The blade is flat ground (saber). The sheath is for field use, thick kydex, 2 heavy nylon straps/snaps with a large TEC-LOK. My standard style. What other sheaths would ya'll like to see?

I used one this morning to clear a part of a fence line. A lot of thick (1-3 inch) hedge over growth. I worked for 45 minutes. I hit the barbed wire, dirt, and small rocks. The edge was still working sharp. No dings anywhere.

It turns out to be quite a good chopper. Kind of on the light side, compaired to a 2" wide blade of the same length.
