New CQC-8 arrived at my door this morning!

I just received a 2001, satin finish, DOUBLE ground, ZERO Bevel, CQC-8. Needless to say, I am stunned! I've had this on order for awhile and received a call from Emerson knives on Wed. telling me the knife was ready. I was expecting a chisel ground blade. I've never been a huge fan of the chisel grind, but for the 8, I would make an exception. Well, I wake up in a daze when the door bell rings and find Mr. UPS. I sign for the package and quickly open it to find a knife I have dreamed about, a double ground CQC-8. I'll see if I can't get some pictures in the next few days and send them in.

Double Ground!!!!! Very, very cool. To the best of my knowledge that is the only double ground 8 out there. Enjoy it. You are a lucky man.

Liong, I am currently working up a loaner program. I'm not sure what the rates are going to be, but they shouldn't be unreasonable. At least not to me.

Dirk--When did you order it? I have had one on order for awhile, not the 4 years quoted, but just want to see how long it took.

I took some pictures this evening. I will have them developed Monday and in the Gallery sometime that day. I hope my photography skills do the knife justice.
