I got some cool things out of my mail box today

I'd like to say thank you to Wendy of Knives Ship Free for being such a great help both on the phone and in the follow up emails. She was very polite and courteous in answering my questions on this and other items. It was a flawless transaction and pleasant purchasing experience. I put in the order Saturday evening and it arrived today from the other side of the country.

Now I have some new ESEE stuff to go along with my old RAT stuff, as I also ordered a surv/nav card and a map card from the ESEE site.

I haven't had a chance to do much with it yet, just a little whittling. It definitely came nice and sharp!

I love my Izula, I love my 3MIL, and I reeeally love my HEST in an urban environment...but to me the 4 is the perfect sized do all woods knife.

Me too :)

Yeah yeah, go ahead...blame it on me if it makes you feel better about it :p

i dont mind it but can my wife blame it on you?:D

Nice acquisition Mist. Looks like a great all around busher.
I have a serrated 6 and it's my " I'm only gonna carry one" knife.
lol , when the heck do "we" ever do that huh? :)

Thanks, I've been looking forward to this since I sold my old one to Marion so I would have a good excuse to get one with the new logo. Actually, unless I am also testing a knife, I usually only carry one fixed and one folder on me. But...depending on which bag I grab heading out there is usually another small fixed which serves as a backup, and one bag has a back-up for both :o

Congrats on the score :D

I have the same exact variant on its way to me, joined by an OD Izula (my first ESEE's)

Thanks for giving me some great pics to drool over ;)

I love serrated blades, glad to see another guy who does as well. Don't have the 4 serrated, though.

Great stuff Brian! It's always a good day when you get a new ESEE in the mail. I need to get some of those map cards also, I really like how Jeff redid the grid lay out it makes much more sense. Can't wait to see some good pics of your new 4 in good use!

I don't like serrations.. but seeing them in your pics makes me like them a little more each time. Pretty soon the negative of them might turn positive

Thanks guys. I've been checking out the ESEE style serrations for over a year now. So far I have found a couple of things work well for like notching wood and sawing bamboo. I like having the aggressive section of edge, and I have found zero things that I do that it actually hampers. I'll get it out and get it dirty soon.
