This is what I was working on lately. I call it fighter but I don't know how good it fits the category.
The steel is 1/4" thick 5160 that I got from our fellow forumite Richard Rosvall. For the handle I used buffalo horn from Philippines. The pins and tube are brass from the local hardware store
I have choosen this not so usual blade shape to have a knife that can make a good slash and still be good for stabing. I won't be trying other blade like this until I get a grinder, doing concave bevels with a file is overkill.
The knife is 9" OAL with almost 5" edge.
The blade is normalized and edge quenched.
Sorry for the bad pics, it's the best my camecoder can do.
