This morning while heat treating I accidently discovered a great tinder! I was tending the fire and a spark popped out onto a frayed spot on my jeans, and poof, instant fire. So remember, if you have a frayed pair of jeans on, you will always have tinder! As the Boss says, I`m always entertaining, you should have seen me dancing around beating on my leg. :o

Trying to think what music would be appropriate to watch this to...............
:D

I think I recall a buddy of mine taking old denim and baking it in an oven to a somewhat charred look. Then when you hit it with a spark it goes up pretty good, he put some in his firekit and it worked well when I saw it used

Whatever the tune is, it HAS to have a banjo in it!

danc, it ain't really music ifin' it don't have a banjer in it, is it? Ha! Ha! I do love my bluegrass music!

That must have been a site to see! John musta thought he was at the Pow-Wow! Ha! Ha! I can just picture it. Kind of sounds like me here a few years back. I had been rubbing something down with 0000 Steel Wool, and I had left a piece up on the workbench down in the basement. I guess it got a little too close to the electrical outlet or some got on whatever plug I was plugging in, and out jumped this big spark and right into that wad of steel wool. Well, I never seen anything go up in flame so fast in my life. I was having to do some laundry after that little snafu. I was getting it down through the basement to find something to smother that fire with, I'll tell you. LOL!

Isn't denim pretty much 100% cotton? That's why it goes up so fast. Guess I will have to get some old denim materials out and make char cloth out of it.

Later guys,

denim is made of cotton, so that would make sense...

char cloth...

Too funny, wonder what the neighbors thought? -- Honey come look at this! I didn't know John could dance like that.
