New forum change

It sure looks to me that there are alot more "guests" viewing the forum and a lot less "members" now! Has everyone remembered to log in since the change over?:confused:
 
It may take a folks a while to find their way here. My old link will not open the site.

I hate it when folks change stuff that worked fine ...at least for my needs;). Now this site looks just like some of the others I go to.....clone wars:thumbdn:

I'm not happy with the change at all, but I haven't posted any comments on the tech board. It seems alot of folks feel the same, so I didn't add any comments. It took me a while to get back here also. My old links didn't work and I thought the forum was still down.

I suppose we'll get used to it over time.:(
 
Not a fan of the change either. However, I'm sure it happened for a good reason.
 
I'm actually getting used to it faster then I thought.. I favored BF's old format over any other site out there.. Its very possible that it has sent people astray, I for one hate changes, but such is life, we all have to face changes..

FWIW, I absolutely hated the change, but time heals all wounds.. :D
 
I don't mind it at all. It took a little bit to locate everything, and I see links and such are still appearing, but I think it will be nice once guys are used to it. ;)
 
I suppose it's somewhat like going to a new supermarket. It takes time and several visits to get used to the place and how it's arrainged.
 
We have to put up with this at work but they are paying us, here its the other way around. At a grocery store I'd want my customers to find items as easily as possible inorder to have a pleasant shopping experience and increase their desire to return. Here we don't know what was wrong so we don't know what they fixed, it merely looks as if they moved the bread aisle because they didn't have anything better scheduled for their evening. But I'm no PC guru so I'll learn this new and unimproved format. DM

I don't mind the change......it seems a little brighter in here and the fonts are big and readable.

I did ask for one change since they are busy making changes, but haven't heard back about my idea. I've asked for the option of being able to block certain ID's from responding to any threads that you start, much like an eBay seller can block certain bidders. I think it would be a great feature and a very useful one.

Dave, thats a good idea, but some people wouldnt be able to post anywhere..... :D
 
It kinda reminds me of a government web site now.:eek:I read a post by Kevin where he said he had to change things because something would no longer support something else.I don't know zip about computers but he had to do it for a reason.In this high tech world things are always changing.Kevin said he may make other changes to fine tune things in the days to come.
 
I always liked the old format. It was different than all the other sites, and was real easy on the eyes...

I may have to adjust my monitor settings, because this new thing seems like its straining my eyes. But then again, my eyes aren't what they use to be

+1 it is hard on the eyes to stay on the forum long.
