Picked this up in a horse trade today. Came with three spare mags, a DeSantis holster, a Fobus holster, Hogue grip and a mag pouch. The gun is light and super thin. Have not shot it yet but very comfy so far to carry IWB/OWB and fits my large hands very well. Trigger is ok- long but fairly light. Does not feel like a standard striker fired pistol (Glock/XD). The controls are all easy to reach, even to my wife with small hands. The mags have a feature that makes it hard to depress the slide stop when they are empty- Kahr says it's a "Smart" feature to help you realize you've loaded an empty mag in a stressful situation. Whatever....

The CW9 was introduced by Kahr as a more economical option to their P9 ($450 avg. street price). Changes are:
-A traditional cut groove barrel vs the polygon bore of the P9
-Less machine work on the slide/Engraved rather than rollmarked
-No night sites/no front dovetail
-MIM slidestop rather than machined tool steel

I have shot quite a few Kahrs and have always found them to be accurate enough for SD use, easy to handle and reliable. If this stays in the stable, it will have several hundred proving rounds run through it before it gets carried. I would be very surprised if it didn't work as well as everything else I've shot from Kahr.

Thanks to sifu, I've recently caught the Kahr bug. They carry so well, are easy to shoot, and thusfar are quite reliable.

My most recent is a used P45 that someone practically gave away. It seems to be quite accurate as I was giggling like a school girl after shooting better than normal with it.

The trigger seems more like a revolver to me. I even shot a sp101 and then a Kahr just to test that out.

they are my favorite no doubt lol, as most everyone knows, rare is the firearm that ya use for a few yrs and really have no issues with, mine have all been 100% after the 1st few hundred rounds, i was really skeptical for a while as to reliability and durability due to them being so small and lite and in a serious calibre but after gosh i guess almost 6 yrs now they are my favorite pistols.

glock is in 2nd place followed by SIG in 3rd, everything else is an "also ran" lol.

the trigger to me feels like a really smooth (not lite, smooth) double action revolver, it reminds me a lot of my late '60s vintage colt detective special or my '82 S&W 586 which has had some trigger work done to it, when they 1st came out i never thought i would like a DA only auto, ya live & ya learn lol,

I almost bought my third Kahr the other day sifu...had to buy food instead, go figure.

CONGRATS on the new Kahr!!

As many know, I am a fan girl. I own 2; both Elite 98's, with night sights.

I didn't really pay attention to all the extras you got the first time around. Looks like you got a major score. The mags go from anywhere from the mid 30s to $44 a piece so that is a good extra right there.

My latest came with a Mitch Rosen Clipper. I don't know if that interests you, but I find it quite comfortable and of very good quality. : http://www.kahrshop.com/index2.asp?cate=acc&model=waistband

If the Hogue doesn't work for you, I also tried the Agrip out. It seems to work better and fell better than the Hogue in the short run (haven't had it long enough to know if it works well long term). : http://www.kahrshop.com/index2.asp?cate=acc&model=waistband One good feature of the Agrip is it isn't tacky rubber (like the Hogue) so it has far less chance of causing a shirt to catch on it and bunch up, causing a reveal or print.

It is a revolver type trigger and a good one at that. With a big hand the P9 is fine but the PM9 has nothing for me to hold on to.If you get a new one make sure you follow the break-in procedure.

i dont care for the add on grip thingies, imho they add uneeded bulk and are 'tacky' which imho does not aid in concealment, YMMV though on the things. i had one on my P9 fro a while and like i said i took it off.

break in is something ya just have to deal with, my P9 was 100% right outta the box but my PM9 did stumble a few times until i had put a box thru it, IIRC it had sorted itself out by the 20th round or so, and has been 100% since, my K9 was used when i got it so its always been 100% too FWIW, but hey break in is just shooting the thing & thats all fun right? good practice too.

i also have big hands but the abbreviated grip on the PM9 hasnt ever bothered me, i have spent a lotta time with walther PP/PPk/PPk/s's /maks/and other small pistols though so i guess i have figured out how to get a good grip on smallish pistols like the PM9, imho the kahrs arent any worse in this respect than the glock 26/27/33's i probably come closer to having a problem with them than the PM9's but neither one is really what i would call a "problem" i do have to watch my 33 with ranger loads it really wants to "torque" in my hand and it makes it hard to have a uniform grip, ya almost have to regrip it after 2-3 rounds.

The Agrip I mentioned is not tacky (yet is more grippy in the hand) at all and only adds a few millimeters in bulk. It is a different animal than the Hogue.

I do have a Hogue on my PM40. Like mete said, there isn't much to hold onto with the PM series. Adding the Hogue made a world of difference in that case. Still hoping to get a PM9, that will probably be more manageable for me w/out a Hogue. Although I still might add an Agrip. I find the Kahr grip groving to be a bit aggressive for my baby soft skin.

Nice score. Looks like a great package...
A friend of mine picked up the same model a while back, he runs his shit hard and often, he loves it....
