Uncle Bill those two wooden handled jewels made the trip. Midnight shift hasn't given me much time to play today; had to double over on dayshift, but I think its fair to say they are both home. The military spent the midnight shift getting a little clean-up. The blade is smooth on both sides without pits now; just took a little elbow grease. The handles are longer & bigger than I am used to & I really like them; never thought I'd ever find anything close to the feel of horn, but if they feel as good in the field as they do now, I may have to change my mind. That Chiruwa is a knife, isn't it? Don't know who made these two, but when you see'em, buy a beer or case for me. These cats are building some great cutlery. They balance great, feel good in my hand & the scabbards are extremely well done. The military I sharpened to about 30-32 degrees. I'll bet it will stay sharp the way the blade rings. Looks like it will be Friday before I can really get to play hard down in the woods. The way the Chiruwa balances, I figure it'll be hungry. I'll get back with you when I get to use them. The boss told me today that we had a bunch of overtime coming up we can't avoid.......Uncle Bill has khukuris. Taking my vitamins so I can get my share of O/T & send it to Reno!!!! Take care, Don

The thing about Capitalism, is not making value judgements. If a buyer is there and has money, you sell to them. So some collectors have many many M43's while long time HI Forum friends still wait. ( I am making this observation, I'm not included under 'long time')

Seems to me though there are marketing strategies and long term goals of consumer base ( yeah yeah, I threw that munbo jumbo in) that mitigate mere first come first serve.

None of my business, and this makes it rotten for me to open my mouth, but I'm famous for treading clumsily...
Why not a waiting list for M43 specials?
