New Knife! rc-3mil

Well, after purchasing 3 knives I now know what works for me: A RC-6, RC-3 Combo! I just picked up a rc-3mil from knivesshipfree. Great site and excellent service. My first knife was a rc-4 and I liked it but it wasn't what i was looking for. It could do what I wanted but it was too big for bbqing and other delicate tasks. I decided to give in and order a rc-6. That was a good choice. Amazing knife. very secure and balanced. My latest purchase the rc-3 makes full circle. Perfect size and thickness and begs to be used. For those with a good budget who think a rc-4 will cut ought to look into a rc-3/6 combo. In retrospect a member suggested this to me a long time ago (his screename had 3 letters with a K in it) BUT if I had to pick just ONE knife it would be the rc-4.
 
Congrats and good on you for finding what works best for you! I think that is truley part of the RAT experience.
 
Well, I ordered my RC-6 this morning, I don't even have it yet and I am exploring a secondary smaller knife to complement the full sized 6... I'll likely get an Izula, but a RC-3 seems like another good companion.
 
Great choices. My uses of knives vary a little bit from yours. I like my izula/ rc 4 combo. The rc 4 does all my camp chores and my izula does the fine work. I like the rc 6 but it is just a bit too big for my needs:) ( I still want one though haha)
 
Man I guess I need one too. I got my first RAT last week, DT Izula survival kit, and I freaking love it. These knives are great, sharp, and feel great. Good luck with your choice.

I've been on the fence on a 3 since I started down this RAT Path earlier this year... Lord knows there's no shortage of praise in the past bizillion threads, but I'm just not sure if a knife that size is for me or not. I've got a 5, two 4's and an Izula and can't imagine life without them now.

But Alas, my decision has been made for me. I'll try out an RC-3 with the coming of the Rat Pack knife too.
 
Me Too!!! My first Rat came today from knivesshipfree. After much debate I purchased the RC3 Mil. Later on, I'll get an Izula and a HEST.

These things are great!
 
KGD is his name! Hey KGD if you read this you were right; I should have gone the RC-3/6 from the get go. They are the perfect combo.

RC-3MIL-P and RC-3MIL-S knives include the following: Foliage Green sheath, MOLLE Back and MOLLE Locks, Boot Clip, Paracord Lanyard and Cord Lock.
 
no problem , and the RC3MIL have a serial number on them as well

I also have a RC-3 MIL but i never use it, the handle is to small for my hands and i don't really like the grip, I think the RC-5 would be better for me.
 
Hey tony,

does the RAT Cutlery RC-3MIL have the same handle color as the RC-5?

congratulations. but where's the pic?
My next child will be an RC-4, but I'm seriously considering the -3MIL as well as a possible EDC (and to replace my old RAT-3).
