I have been working with Michael Janich for a while now on one of his designs. He has spent the past week putting the prototype through the paces and we are now ready to begin producing this new pattern. The knife is named "The Ronin" and will offer several unique features not commonly seen. This little knife will be a dead serious defensive tool (very nasty) designed from the ground up to be used with a Filipino style grip. It will come with two concealex sheaths that are in themselves quite unique. The knife will be available in Bg-42 and CPM-420v with G10 scales. I will get a picture up as soon possible. Thanks.

How dare you post something that get me so interested and then not include a picture? Shame on you!
Since you said you would be posting a picture soon, just when is soon?
As you can probably tell I am not a very patient person, so hurry up darn it.

Here be that picture, Mike Snody contacted me and asked if I'd post this image....they are
a batch of Michael Janich Ronins ready for heat treat.
They are cpm 420v, chisel ground, 3'' blade 6.75'' overall.
They will have G-10 handles in black or sand color. There will be two
pieces of 3/8'' stainless tubing going thru the handle as well as the
1/4'' thong hole tube. It has serations on the back of the blade to
facilitate the use of the Filipino style grip.

Glad to see a picture, but would sure like to see the finished product. I hope you will post a picture when it is complete.
I do not know if this is appropriate, but how much is it going to cost?
Keith.

Sweet profiles, and thanks G2 for the preview. Any chance of getting one of your nice cord wraps on one of these bad boys?

This has nothing to do wth your post, but I saw the article on you in Tactical Knives. Boy are those great looking knives. What options do you have for blade steel on the Karma Kozukas. I would also like to know the upcharges for the optional blade materials.
If it would be more proper you can email the info I am asking for. Thanks Mike.

Keith.

Hey Keith,
I primarily use A2 tool steel and CPM 3v for the Kozukas. Other steels are available but these are my favorites. Email me your mailing adress and I will send you a brochure and price list. My website should be up in the next week or so. www.snodyknives.com
Thanks for your interest in my knives. Thanks for posting the Ronin's Gary.

Very nice Mike! Question, how many different style Menuki do you have for your Japanese stuff? I saw a rose and skull and crossbones, which you seem to like, any traditional dragons, etc??
Can you make a to order Menuki??

Hey Paul,
I have a makeshift brochure of menuki that I will send to anyone that is interested. It contains about 160 different patterns. I can have custom patterns made if that is desired.
My goal is to use menuki that the other makers are not currently using. That is why you dont see some of the more popular menuki patterns on my knives. I have a new menuki that I will be using that is really cool. It is a bat eared demon with a nail driven through his head. It is very high quality, cast from an original with exceptional detail. Look for it soon.
