CF2 Prototype

Built as a linerlock, but is really a framelock that is just skinned over for looks.

This folder has a 3.5" S30V blade heat treated by Paul Bos. It uses a thumb hole opening system and has a glass bead finish. Blade is flat ground from 0.125" stock.

Handle "liners" are 0.125" solid 6AL 4V titanium. That is why I say it is really a framelock. These are the beefiest liners I have seen in a long time. I used a solid back spacer from 6/4 titanium as well. The back spacer features 10 lpi hand checking. It has a 3/32" 440C detent for solid closure and a oversized 3/16" stop pin. Pivot is 440C as well.

Handle scales are F18 Carbon Fiber with a glass bead finish. Pocket clip is titanium and is set for tip up carry.

Despite being way over built it weighs in at a feather weight of only 5oz.

$350

Is the knife in the 3rd and 5th pictures the same as the one in the other 3? This knife shows exposed pivot screws but the screws are hidden under the scales in the other 3 pics.

Sold, Kevin she is all yours. I will send you an e-mail with payment options.

commodorewheeler, sorry but this was the only one. Might have another availible at the Blade show.

Thanks Ron, probably won't be able to make it to Blade, but I will keep an eye out for stuff you post if you have any left over afterwards.

BTW, it was great meeting you in Pasadena last weekend. I'm the guy who was with a girl and we kept on checking out your Timascus knife on the first day.

Take care!

Wheeler, should have grabbed it then ;). That Timascus one walked shortly after as well.

The response to this folder caught me a little off guard. Been getting alot of e-mails in the past couple days with order requests. Had to do alot of thinking about the issue since I officially no longer take orders. But here is what I have decided to do.

Since I am gearing up a major run of custom knives for the Blade Show anyways I have decided to accept a limited number of orders for these. It will be limited to ten pieces.

If you are interested e-mail me with your information. I will be asking for a $50 good faith deposit that will go into a holding account. The following are the only options that will be offered.

G10 or Carbon Fiber Scales (both w/textured finish)
Anodizing Color
Left or Right handed
Plain edge or 1" partial serration

There are four spaces availible.

Thanks

Ron, That's a great no-nonsense design folder you've come up with there, both in the handle and the blade. It's very nice and I can see why you've had such a great response.

Ron,

I tried to email but it was undeliverable.
Please count me in if there is still a spot.
Perhaps if you email me I'll be able to reply.

Regards,
Chris

Looks like all ten are spoken for. If anyone backs out I will post it up here.

Thanks for all the interest and kind words.
