New Moran at Blade Show?

Will the new Moran (flat grind, satin finish, kydex sheath) be available at the Blade Show in June?

Are the ones you are currently making of this configuration?

Same blade shape?

Will the handle be the same?

What have you been hearing that we haven't? Sounds like a move to both reduce the costs of production (flat grind versus Moran edge and satin versus mirror finish) and upgrade the sheath (kydex over leather which still should yield cost savings for Spyderco). Will the VG-10 be replaced with a cheaper steel too? Hope not.

If true, my recommendation is to swoop on available Spydie Morans now.

Bob is correct and yes, the VG-10 will remain. May have a sample for Blade, but not sure at this time.

Nakano - Yes, same pattern, same handle. only the grind and finish will change. (Moran {"Hamaguriba"} to flat, mirror to satin) We will also be providing a Kydex sheath instead of the leather sheath. Looking at samples now.
