I'm a real sucker for Robin Hudson Knives.... picked this one up a little while ago. I understand it dates from around the early to mid 90's and is one of my favorite pieces in my collection....so far.

Very dramatic Bowie design! Not often seen handle shape, seems
extremely comfortable for a small hand too.

All the best,

As Robin's knives go, this is a classic and STELLAR example of his easily recognizable style. At one time he was at the top of the MS game. Life has sent him many changes, so I hear, so knifemaking is on the back burner.

I am glad for you. Absolutely stunning. Look at that subtle guard bevel/facet that runs up to the top spine. Really neat.

Coop,

it was the post you did many moons ago about the Subhilt belonging to the boar hunting deep sea diver that first got me interested in Robins work!

Well worth a read to anyone who hasn't seen it...I'm sure it is in the archives somewhere.....

I usually don't care for ladder patterns (in general) but this is a STELLAR example of very very nice craftsmanship especially the guard transitions both towards the blade and towards the handle.

This looks just stunning. I love the simple design and the guard just flows into the blade and handle.
