Jerry Busse has recently ventured into the production knife world with the introduction of his Busse Combat Basics series, a new line of fixed blades featuring a modified version of the INFI Steel. When tested at the 1999 Blade Show, a 1" portion of the blade was able to make 2771 cuts through a 1" hemp rope without going dull; we just ran out of rope!

The standard Combat Basic #9 features a satin finish and retails for $258.95, but we are bringing you a Black Coated version for the low price of $219.95.

Included with each knife will be a Kydex Sheath with legstrap made by High Desert Holsters, and a free BladeForums.com Tshirt!

Do a search on Busse and visit the Blade Show archive for more info on this incredible knife.

2,771 cuts and we run out of rope. How much rope can this thing cut?

Who knows.....

The most interesting part of these pictures is Lori! She is cute!!

P.S. I hope she is not the wife of anyone on this forum. Otherwise, the husband might come after me with a Busse knife!

Ummmmmm....

Lori is Turber's wife.

And now that you mention it.... she is kinda cute!!

Don't worry... Mike's the kind of guy that will take things like that as a compliment.

Close call there - I was worried that I would have to warn my neighbors that they might find my head on a stake!

Just wondering...

You sliced paper after 2500 cuts - but there is still a lot of rope on the picture....

You said that you had run out of rope after 2771 cuts. Did you cut the remaining rope in 271 cuts?

Or maybe those pictures are not in order??

Tell me more about this knife, I'm fairly new to the knife world (own 2 Randalls) and would like more info on the Busse #9 and his style of knives.

How long before these knives will ship???

What is the duration of this price??

Thanks Much!!

Besides being black is there anything else exclusive to the BF edition? I figure Jerry will come out with a black blade for general sale anyway and it would be nice to have the BF edition special.

jeff

P.S. If the coating was plain automotive primer it sure would be easy to touch up and make it look like new!

The pictures are not in any real order.

The black coating is a powder coat, I beleive.

Jerry will have a working email when we rebuild his site.

We should get the first batch tomorrow.

First batch tomorrow - excellent news!

By the way, does your wife happen to have a sister that is single and available?!?

WOW!! Talk about really being impressive!!

Not the cutting test; although that was pretty impressive itself. I am talking about Lori. The only other pic I recall seeing of her was her spraying Mike with pepper spray!

Lori; is your grandmother single, perhaps?

Lori's sister, Melanie is married to Dudly who sells knives on the side. He is a brick layer by trade.

Lori's mother's real last name is Pillsbury. Yes the same as the Pilsbury dough boy. They actually sold the family name to Pillsbury.

Man that pepper spray pic is going to haunt me for life!

And Walt I will try to get a .wav file of my famous Turkey call for you!
