New Pants for my BK7

Hey all,
A few weeks ago I posted my BK7 that I etched and put a light patina on. I am waiting on my new scales for it so I put on the stock ones for now. The new scales will match the color of the sheath better than the black ones. I made a simple hanging belt sheath for it. It's made from 8/9oz double shoulder leather, Fiebings Light Brown dye, waterproofed and conditioned with Montana Pitch Blend dressing and stitched with artificial sinew. I used a stainless D-ring and gun metal snaps. The D-ring gives the sheath free motion while moving about and if bending or going over something it wont bind or pinch. The blade fits like a glove and is nice and secure. Hope you all like it, I will post more pics when the scales arrive.

Nice job on the sheath. Looks very clean.

And thank you sir

That's awesome, that would look great with some big long-horn skull leather stamp or something right in the middle...I just always think of BK7's as Cowboy Bowies lol.

That is one fine looking sheath! I like everything about it. Where did you get the gunmetal snaps? I like em!

Thanks for the answer. I buy a lot of stuff from Tandy but have completely overlooked thosed. Again, very nice work on your sheath! We have some very talented kydex benders and leather workers on this site.
All the best

Very nice! Skystorm does great work. I picked up two BK7s yesterday....one KaBar, one Camillus. Already had sheath plans for one. The other came to me unexpectedly....still figuring how to sheath it.
